2 killed in collision of pickup, car near Big Arm

A pickup truck and a passenger car collided head-on on U.S. Highway 93 between Elmo and Big Arm, killing both people in the car.
The Montana Highway Patrol says the pickup driven by a 16-year-old Polson boy was northbound at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a car.
A 71-year-old woman in the car died at the scene, while a 74-year-old man died on the way to the hospital. Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin tells KERR-AM the victims were Wayne and Helen Gryde of Polson.
Information on the extent of the injuries suffered by the driver of the pickup was not available.
