Scott Zoltan became a reporter for NBC Montana in August 2011. He got his first taste of journalism at an early age, writing articles for his hometown newspaper in San Diego. When he arrived at the University of Oregon, he made the transition from print to broadcast and graduated with a B.A. in Journalism: Electronic Media. In his time at school, Scott reported for a student newscast and served as Multimedia Editor for the school's newspaper.
In Summer 2010 he ventured eastward for an internship at a PBS affiliate in Albany, New York. He worked for New York Now, a weekly statewide public affairs program. Scott divided his time between the studio and the Capitol, covering the primary elections and the summer budget crisis.
Upon graduating, Scott worked for an online environmental news start-up in Eugene, Oregon, before making his way to beautiful Montana.
He's excited to be covering the Flathead Valley for NBC Montana. When he's not reporting the news, Scott likes to read, hike and hit the slopes.
