I have always had an interest in the natural world and have enjoyed all types of outside activities. Obviously the weather is a big part of being outdoors. My college degree is in geology although most of my jobs have had little to do with geology unfortunately. My wife and I moved to Missoula from Wyoming in 1993 and the following year moved to our current place in the Lone Rock area NE of Stevensville where we started out family and a tree farm.
I find the weather very interesting especially in the mountains where the terrain can really affect the local weather. I love the snow but that's the one thing the east side of the Bitterroot Valley lacks, The electrical storms are great also just not as big as some of the big storm I grew up with in Indiana.
