"Don't Let Montanans Go To Sleep Hungry" drive comes to Kalispell
KALISPELL, Mont. -

NBC Montana would like to thank the Flathead for continuing to support our efforts with the Montana Food Bank Network and Sleep City.

Wednesday morning's Don't Let Montanans Go To Sleep Hungry drive was a great success. Meteorologist Adam Painter was on hand talking to community members about donating what they can to help others who need it most, especially as the holiday season rapidly approaches.

"The need, the demand on the local food bank has increased by about 25%," said Sleep City's Dan Welch, "and its up to us as a community to help step up and help these folks out."

To date our combined efforts have raised 12,022 pounds of food and about $49,000. That's enough to provide nearly 350,000 meals for the hungry.
