1,000 flags fly in the Field of Honor
BUTTE, Mont. -

1,000 flags stood tall Thursday to honor veterans, members of the military, law enforcement and child abuse victims at the Field of Honor opening ceremony.

The stars and stripes flew in 50 rows.

Representatives from the National Guard, Intermountain Children's Home and the Marines spoke to the crowd about those who fell protecting America's freedom, as well as victims of child abuse.

The Butte Exchange Club hosts the event and raises money to benefit local children charities and veterans.

You can visit the Field of Honor in Butte until 2 p.m. Sunday, at the corner of Mercury Street and Continental Avenue, across from the Belmont Senior Center.
