2 men arrested after Great Falls assault

GREAT FALLS, Mont. -

Two Great Falls man are charged with severely beating another man and robbing him.
    
Police say 43-year-old Adam Arthur Elkboy and 38-year-old Shannon Dale Spottedeagle were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and robbery. They were scheduled to make an initial appearance in District Court on Tuesday.
    
Sgt. Ed McGraw said when police responded to the reported assault shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday, the suspects had fled and the 41-year-old victim was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Emergency personnel were able to revive him. Police say the victim remained hospitalized in serious condition Tuesday morning.
    
A witnesses said he saw two men kicking and punching the victim.
    
Elkboy and Spottedeagle were arrested nearby. Court records say both had fresh wounds on their knuckles.
