Two men have been charged in connection to the shooting of a clerk at an East Missoula convenience store and gas station.
Prosecutors charged 23-year-old Christopher Lee Burch and 24-year-old Preston James Hanna in the shooting.
Burch, the alleged shooter, faces attempted deliberate homicide and robbery charges. Hanna, the alleged driver of the get-away car, has been charged with suspicion of accountability to both charges.
Bail has been set for both at $500,000.
Prosecutors allege Burch was dressed in black and carrying a scoped rifle when he entered the Ole's store in East Missoula shortly before 3 a.m. Friday and shouted at the clerk: "Give me all the money."
When the clerk ignored the request, investigators say he was shot in the upper body and the would-be robber fled.
As of Sunday evening St. Patrick Hospital reports the victim is in critical but stable condition.
