BILLINGS, Mont. -

Two transients have been charged for their alleged roles in a check-cashing scheme that netted about $109,000 in Billings.
27-year-old James Michael Daily and 32-year-old Christopher Paul McKeen made initial appearances in Justice Court Thursday. Daily is charged with 12 counts of felony forgery by accountability while McKeen faces three counts.
Daily's bail was set at $75,000 and McKeen's at $20,000. They are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in District Court.
Court records say Daily and McKeen were among at least seven transients who received money for cashing forged paychecks created by several Georgia residents.
Prosecutors say Daily continued cashing the checks after a detective told him it was illegal.
Officers are searching for four other men whose names appear on some of the forged checks.
