MISSOULA, Mont. -

More than 200 seniors got free health checkups at Missoula’s YMCA for Community Medical Center's 5th annual Senior Health Fair.

Volunteers and medical students provided assessments for balance, bone density, flexibility, blood pressure, hearing, and vision.

People over 60 years old make-up the fastest growing demographic in Montana.

Health Fair Organizer Mary Thane said Missoula’s seniors are mostly an active and healthy bunch.

"We live in such a beautiful area,” said Thane. “There's great places to walk, to bike, especially after new trails built by parks and rec."

After receiving a clean bill of health, Missoula resident Bob Hayes said he stays healthy by running and doing construction projects.

"I'm shooting for 100 years,” said Hayes. “I'm 86 now. I still got 14 years to go, so I've got to pay attention to my health."
