HELENA, Mont. -

Eight candidates have been removed from June's primary election ballot for not filing their required business disclosures.

That eliminates Republican candidates in two House races. It also eliminates two contested Republican primaries races and three contested Democratic primaries.

Commissioner of Political Practices Jonathan Motl says the law requires candidates who missed Tuesday's disclosure deadline to be taken off the ballot.

Four of the candidates removed had filed as Republicans for House seats: Sebastien Guilhemotonia, Billie Love, David August and James Davis.

Four filed as Democrats: Senate candidate Harry Pennington and House candidates Laura Springer, Roxanne Brothers and Steve Gray.

Motl listed a ninth candidate, James Barutha, as being removed. The secretary of state's office listed Barutha as having withdrawn from his Senate race.
