COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. -

The friends, family and general Flathead community are rallying around a 17-year old Columbia Falls High School student, after she received a prognosis that means she has just months to live. Taylor Peterson has been battling jawbone cancer for roughly a year and a half.  She recently found out her cancer was no longer treatable.

When Peterson told the owner of a local restaurant, Tien’s Place Oriental Dining, the owner asked her to name a place she’s always wanted to go. Now, a benefit is set to happen at that restaurant to help send Taylor to Hawaii as her last wish.

The benefit will be held at Tien’s Place on Sunday, December 2, starting at 10 am and running until 6 pm. The restaurant is at 329 Ninth Street in Columbia Falls. An online auction can be found at here as well, and that will run past the date of the benefit.
