BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Bobcat fans are reeling from MSU's loss against Sam Houston Sate, Friday night, in their second post-season game.

We went to campus, Saturday, to talk to students and alumni about the team's 34 to 16 defeat against the Bearcats.

Fans say they're proud of their Bobcats and all the work they put into the season.

But tell us it's tough to lose against the same team that ended their season last year.

Students tell us it's been quiet on campus.  The atmosphere very subdued.

"You see how hard these boys work all summer and the town's so supportive of them and we just want them to do so well that just seeing it go down like it did last night, it just really makes it hurt that much more," says MSU student athlete Leigh Stonerook.

MSU alumnus Jeff Hedstrom says he came down from Missoula to see the game but left after the first half.

"I personally thought they stood a really good chance of advancing and possibly getting a chance for a rematch with Eastern Washington next week," says Hedstrom.

MSU student Claire DuVall says she thought the same thing but also ended up not watching the entire game.

"Thought we might be able to beat them after they beat us last year and then the excitement kind of went away a little while later...I think everyone's a little disappointed.  We were hoping that we had the weather advantage because they were going to be really cold and they weren't going to be able to do it, but they did," explains DuVall.

Bobcat fans do say they take a little comfort in the fact there's always next year.
