BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Bozeman will soon be home to a new craft brewery.

The Bridger Brewing Company is finishing up construction and set to open in mid-February.

We went to their site on South 11th, near MSU to speak with the owner.

He tells us their high-quality beer and warm, welcoming tap room will set the brewery apart.

Though their beer comes first, Bridger Brewing will also offer gourmet pizza, soups and salads, with most of their ingredients coming from right here in Montana.

Bridger Brewing company will also create between 45 and 50 new part-time jobs and five new full-time jobs.

"We're just excited to be part of the community over here.  On campus, there's not a lot of other options out here and I think the students and faculty, families on the south side of town here that live in this area are really going to enjoy having a place they don't have to drive very far or they can bike in or walk in or what have you and have a nice place to come and relax and enjoy some good food," says Bridger Brewing Company Owner and General Manager David Breck.

According to the Montana Brewers Association, there are around 33 craft Breweries in Montana.

Here in southwest Montana, we counted about seven.

We also checked on distilleries in Montana.

The Montana Department of Agriculture lists four, with two of those here in southwest Montana.
