Bridger Bowl snowfall brings record sales
Snow dumped on Bridger Bowl over the past week- almost 5 feet to be exact.
Bridger Bowl reps said they had one of their busiest days ever on Saturday, as people from all over flocked to the ski area to hit the powder.
We're told the snowfall started with 25 inches on Tuesday, and kept falling until it reached 52 inches on Friday.
Doug Wales, Bridger Bowl's Marketing Director, said they've had tremendous sales to back up the tremendous ski conditions.
"The snow really has helped put us in a great position for the season" he said. "Snow coverage is excellent on the mountains and we're looking forward to the holidays coming up in February and should be a great month."
We also talked to skiers about the cold-smoke conditions. One group even traveled from North Dakota because they heard the skiing was that good.
"When we heard the 50 inches, we figured we had to drive out here for that" said Mitch Peterson, who drove from Bismark with his friends. They hit the slopes Saturday and Sunday, and say it was worth the drive.
Wales said the parking lot was so packed, they almost ran out of room. He wants to remind people to carpool when the powder's fresh, so everyone has a chance to hit the slopes.
