Butte St. Patrick's Day parade to start at noon
Butte celebrations made some minor changes to this year's St. Patrick's Day parade.
This year St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, falls on a Sunday.
Parade organizers pushed back the beginning of the parade to noon, to work around Sunday church services.
The parade will follow the same route as last year.
It will start at Colorado and Mercury, then head up Wyoming to Granite. Once it reaches Granite it will move down to Montana St. where it will roll back to Mercury.
Organizers are asking the city to start closing streets at 9:00 a.m.
St. Patrick's Day vendors will be at Heritage Park, off Main St.
Butte Celebrations will take the plan before the city/county commission on Wednesday night.
