Butte man pleads not guilty in August fatal crash
BUTTE, Mont. -

A Butte man pleaded not guilty to two felony charges for an August crash that killed another man.

Police arrested 67-year old James Robert Hollingsworth Tuesday afternoon at his home after a warrant was issued.

"Yesterday at about 4 pm we received confirmation from the county attorney's office that they had filed a charge in district court against Mr. Hollingsworth for negligent homicide, and negligent endangerment.  With that information there was a warrant issued for his arrest, our officers then went and found him at his residence and they served that warrant on him," said Sheriff John Walsh.

Prosecutors say Hollingsworth ran a red light at an intersection on Harrison Avenue near the Butte Plaza Mall on August 23 when he reportedly slammed his Dodge pick-up truck into 74-year old Forest Felton's car.

Felton died later at the hospital.

Witnesses told investigators at the scene that Hollingsworth’s pickup appeared to have been racing another vehicle just before the crash.
