Missoula County signed on with a new carnival company to serve the Western Montana Fair next fall.
Commissioners signed a three-year contract to hire North Star Amusements of Wyoming.
It replaces another carnival company that was late on the fair's opening day last year, and had a number of inoperable rides.
North Star will feature 55 so-called spectacular rides, 14 major adult rides, 11 kiddie rides, 20 to 40 games, and up to six food concessions.
"We're hoping to generate somewhere in the neighborhood of $300,000 gross revenue," said fair director Steve Earle. "And out of that we expect the return of $110,000 back to Missoula County and into the fair budget."
The Western Montana Fair is scheduled for August 6-11.
