Newly elected Congressman Steve Daines played host in Missoula Tuesday at an open house for his new office.
The downtown office on West Front Street will serve as his headquarters for western Montana.
We also had a chance to ask the freshman congressman about the impending budget cuts set to hit the country in a couple weeks if congress can't work out a deal.
"Time's running out,” said Daines. “We've been battling to stop over-spending in Washington. We've got to continue to find a way to rein in spending and at the same time, build the economy and increase revenues. It's going to be a battle in the next couple of weeks for sure."
Daines says he's still hopeful a deal can be reached.
