Flathead veterans and their family and friends gathered in a school auditorium on Sunday for a music concert to honor local vets. The event was held at Flathead High School, and hosted by the Flathead Valley Concert Association.
The band Brasswerks played through a list of patriotic songs, and organizers collected money for the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as food donations for the Northwest Montana Veteran’s Food Pantry.
Veterans were offered free seating, while a portion of the money from paid tickets went to the Wounded Warrior Project.
“They have done so much,” said Flathead Valley Concert Association Treasurer Bob Sapp while speaking about veterans. “They have fought the wars to keep us free and we owe them recognition for sacrificing their lives and their time.”
