On Friday a group of dentists were at Russell Elementary School as a part of the Montana Dental Association's Sealants for Smiles program.
NBC Montana told you how a Pew report gave Montana a failing grade for not protecting kids from took decay with sealants. The MDA noticed a need for proper dental care in students who come from low-income households - Flathead dentists volunteered their time to take care of those young, precious grins.
"We are providing an exam, sealants if they need them on their permanent molars, and then a fluoride varnish," explained Glacier Dental Group's Dr. David Keim. "The kids have been great, only a few have been nervous and they do a great job as well."
