A new poll found Republican Tim Fox holds a slight lead over Democrat Pam Bucy in the race for attorney general while the race for secretary of state is nearly even.

A Lee Newspapers of Montana Poll done earlier this week found Fox with support from 48 percent of likely voters while Bucy received 42 percent. Mason-Dixon Polling found 10 percent were undecided.

Secretary of State Linda McCulloch received 46 percent to 44 percent for Republican Brad Johnson, who she unseated in 2008. The difference was within the poll's margin of error of 4 percentage points.

State Auditor Monica Lindeen holds a 49 percent to 38 percent lead over Republican challenger Derek Skees while Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau has a slight 49 percent to 44 percent lead over Republican Sandy Welch.
