Inauguration usher has Kalispell connection
KALISPELL, Mont. -

As folks around the country tuned in to President Barack Obama’s second inauguration, one Flathead woman was able to catch the action first-hand. Rebecca Eisenman is a Ceremonial Guardsman in the United States Air Force Honor Guard. She joined the Air Force shortly after graduating from Glacier High School in Kalispell, and is currently stationed in D.C.

Eisenman worked as an usher in a section full of people Obama personally picked to attend the ceremony.

“It was like you could physically feel the energy, and especially when the ceremony began, everyone was so positive…yelling encouragements. It was very nice,” said Eisenman.

Eisenman was also at Obama’s first inauguration in 2009, as part of a school group. This year though, she was there for her job, right on the lawn.
