The Kalispell Police Department and Kalispell’s police advisory council are organizing a town hall meeting for mid-March. The meeting is geared to facilitate discussions about public safety issues, in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre and local concerns about safety.
Presenters will include a citizen who will discuss safety in the home, School District 5 staff, Kalispell officers, and a mental health specialist from the Pathways treatment facility. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12 in the Arts and Technology Building at FVCC. The event will start at 7:00 pm and anyone in the public is invited to attend.
“I think any time an event like Sandy Hook happens, everybody’s going to look at their safety procedures and reevaluate what they can do to make things safe,” said KPD Administrative Captain Wade Rademacher.
