Law enforcement hands out dozens of DUI citations over Brawl of the Wild weekend
Missoula law enforcement brought out extra patrols over the weekend for the Brawl of the Wild. They were expecting plenty of alcohol related calls with thousands of folks in town for the cross-state football game between the University of Montana and Montana State.
Missoula police told NBC Montana it was busy weekend overall. Between the city and county, officers responded to 16 DUI related calls from Friday evening through early Sunday morning.
Officers also handed out four open container tickets and two minor in possession of alcohol citations.
The Missoula Police Department, Missoula County Sheriff’s Department and the Montana Highway Patrol all focused on stopping drunk driving throughout the weekend.
