MISSOULA, Mont. -

Christmas Eve snow and ice kept Montana Highway Patrol troopers busy last night.

We checked the call logs for Butte, Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula. Between 3 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, troopers responded to almost 100 car accidents, slide-offs, and rollovers.

Trooper Adam Ganes said on Christmas day roads were still slick, and that holiday travelers should use extra precaution while driving.

"Give yourself plenty of stopping distances, especially on exits from the interstate, and approaching intersections. Those have been pretty slick,” said Ganes. “Wear your seatbelt, be courteous to your fellow driver, and we all should have a safe and merry Christmas."
