MSU recognized for quality and affordability
An independent research and consulting group recently recognized Montana State University for its quality and affordability, naming MSU as one of "America's 100 Best College Buys".
The group analyzed about 1,500 schools for the study and based its picks on academic performance data from the freshman class as well as the cost for out-of-state-students.
We talked to students who say MSU deserves the title.
"This is an awesome school, it's a great university. I feel honored to go to my classes everyday," says student Melissa Smith.
MSU student Caleb Killian agrees.
"I think that's pretty cool. That's good to know going here. It's a good thing to think about your school and, as far as I know, I'd agree," says Killian.
Student Josephine Rundle says she can vouch for MSU's new title.
"It was actually the same price to go here than to go to an in-state, public school in Washington and I feel like I'm getting a really good education," says Rundle.
MSU is the only school in Montana to make the list.
