MT pair arrested after police find 140 pot plants
Agents arrested a former Montana tavern owner and his wife, confiscating some $14,000 in a credit union account and more than 140 marijuana plants.
The Montana Standard reports Laurence "Larry" Bugni and his wife, Ann Bugni, were arrested on suspicion of drug manufacturing last week at two residences south of Butte.
Bugni once owned Blue Moon Saloon in Divide.
Also seized during the raids were lamps, heaters, fans and other items commonly used in growing marijuana, according to charging documents in Butte-Silverbow.
In addition to the money in the credit union account, police also seized some $3,000 in cash and weapons found on the properties.
Both Bugnis were charged with felony criminal production of dangerous drugs, criminal possession with intent to distribute and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
