A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Sanders County on Sunday morning. Troopers tell NBC Montana the crash happened on Highway 28 just south of the Hot Springs turnoff. Troopers say a Washington car started going off the side of the road, over-corrected and drove into the oncoming lane, hitting a Montana pick-up truck.
Troopers say there were three adults in each vehicle. Responders transported all six for medical treatment. According to MHP, two occupants from the Washington vehicle are facing life threatening injuries at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Authorities haven’t released the name of the dead man pending family notification.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Troopers say all six people were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
