Murder charge dropped against Lincoln County man
KALISPELL, Mont., -

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a man was driving east on Highway 2, outside of Kalispell, when, due to speed, his vehicle failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. Troopers say the 29-year old man was driving a Honda Accord, and he was the only occupant. The crash happened at roughly 11:30 pm on Saturday night.

The vehicle reportedly rolled several times and came to a rest on its top. Authorities say the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was wearing a seatbelt, and troopers say it is unknown if alcohol played a factor. The name of the driver has not been released at this time. The incident occurred at mile marker 113.7, and road conditions were described as “slightly wet.”
