Town Pump Robbery
BUTTE, Mont. -

A Butte man who brought a .22 caliber rifle into a Town Pump convenience store is being charged with three felonies.

The incident happened around midnight on Saturday near the 2700-block of Harrison Ave.

46-year-old James Reiken was reportedly looking for his missing son and believed the clerk at the convenience store knew of his son's whereabouts.

After arguments went south, Reiken allegedly walked over to his truck, grabbed the rifle and came back inside pointing  it in the clerks face.

Another clerk, along with a local man who was shopping at the time, sprung into action and detained the suspect until police arrived.

"The clerk stated that this man came in asking him where his son was at, the clerk advised him he didn't know who his son was and then the male became belligerent and the male was intoxicated," said George Skuletich, Butte-Silver Bow undersheriff.

Reiken appeared in Justice Court on Monday afternoon and his bond was set at $150,000.
