CARTER SEARCH
MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula County detectives are still hard at work searching for a man who went missing almost a week ago.

27-year-old Joshua Carter disappeared late last Friday after leaving the Frenchtown Club west of Missoula.

NBC Montana followed along with detectives Thursday. They said they still don’t have much to go off of. Now they're searching back roads in the Frenchtown area for any clues that could lead them to Carter and his truck.

"Today we spent quite a bit of time in Mill Creek and Bear Ceek and some different areas just driving the roads looking for the truck and for Josh," said Missoula County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Jason Johnson. "We're just thinking of ways we can keep looking for him and try to get some information."

Detectives are looking specifically for signs on the side of the road, like tire marks and plowed over grass, that could indicate where Carter may have gone. They’ve also been reaching out to area residents, to make sure they’re on the lookout as well.

Thursday the Sheriff’s Office had several detectives driving the area, still no leads on Carter’s location.

Friends and family have organized their own search party to scour the area Friday. Folks are asked to meet at the “Y” truck stop on Highway 93 at 6:00 p.m. For more information click here.

Joshua Carter is 27-years-old, 5 foot 11 and 225 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a yellow, black and white ‘CAT’ hat.

Carter drives a 1974 one ton Ford flatbed pickup, yellow in color.

Anyone with information about Carter’s whereabouts is asked to call Missoula County Dispatch at (406) 258-3452.
