The Mountain Line turned 35 Tuesday.
Public officials took turns paying tribute to a successful partnership with commuters and businesses
The procession included live talks from Missoula Mayor, John Engen and Missoula Downtown Association (MDA) Board President, Todd Frank.
Letters from Montana Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus were read to the crowd.
Speakers thanked employees and administration at Mountain Line.
The trending topic from Tuesday’s speakers was the praise of the bus line’s major contribution to Missoula’s downtown businesses and attractions.
Todd Frank, Trail Head owner and MDA board president, said the success of the Mountain Line has grown in step with Missoula’s thriving downtown culture.
“It's super easy for employees to get in and out of downtown, as well as being super affordable for folks to ride downtown and hangout.” Frank said, “All the events we do downtown really benefit from having tremendous access via the bus."
The event offered attendees cupcakes and punch while they visited with Mountain Line employees and their mascot, Bolt.
