Missoula fire crews knock down structure fire
The following is a press release from the Missoula Fire Department:
The Missoula Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 630 Dixon Avenue at approximately 10:30 p.m. last evening. Three engine companies and a Battalion Chief responded, along with City PD units and an ambulance from Missoula Emergency Services.
On arrival firefighters found a first floor bedroom fully involved and all occupants out of the structure. The fire was quickly knocked down and brought under control by crews who initiated an interior attack. Crews checked for extension in ceiling and closet area of room. A fire investigator was called to the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
There were no injuries reported and damage is estimated at $5,000.
