Missoula man arrested in road rage incident
A 24-year-old Missoula man remained jailed Tuesday on $5,000 bail after reports that he fired a pellet gun at another vehicle during a road-rage incident.
Christopher Alan Colligan was arrested Sunday after a man called 911 to report that someone had shot at him and gave police a description of a man who had cut him off in traffic.
The man told police that while their cars were stopped at a red light, he shouted "What's the rush?" and the other driver responded by pointing a gun at him and firing a shot, followed by several more as they drove down the street.
Police recovered a pellet gun from Colligan's car that an officer said looked like a semi-automatic handgun with a silencer.
Colligan was charged Monday with assault with a weapon.
