MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula Police said a woman reported she was raped while walking home early Monday morning.

Detective Sgt. Bob Bouchee said the incident reportedly happened on the 100 block of Woodford Avenue between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m.

Bouchee said the victim knew the suspect, but not well. She had been walking with him for sometime before he raped her.

The suspect is described as a white male between 50 and 60-years-old. The victim said he had long grey and brown hair, and a mustache and beard. He was wearing a green jacket with fur on it, brown Carhartt pants and was carrying a backpack. Bouchee said the victim also described the man not as fat, but as having a pot belly and smelling foul.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 721-4444 or the Missoula Police Department at 552-6300.
