Montana State Prison investigating inmate death
Montana State Prison inmate, Russell Heit, was found dead Friday morning, reportedly hanging in an outbuilding used to store equipment.
Officials say the building is outside of the fenced perimeter at the prison.
Heit was assigned to work on the outside road crew. It is unclear if he was working just before his death.
The 58 year old man arrived at the Montana State Prison in 1989, after being charged with deliberate homicide.
