January 22 marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a Supreme Court decision that has sparked controversy and discussion for 40 years. On Saturday afternoon, members of Flathead Pro-Life held their annual March for Life.
Members walked up Kalispell's Main Street holding balloons and signs to spread their message and then released 50 pink and blue balloons at Depot Park.
"We can be there for those that are in a position who are afraid and don't know what to do," explained Flathead Pro-Life member Megan Petty. "And to stand out in public and say that yes, every life counts."
The Supreme Court's landmark 7-2 decision ruled that a woman's right to privacy under the 14th Amendment extended to a woman's decision to have an abortion.
