Pursuit suspect faces sixteen felony counts
WEST GLACIER, Mont. -

A man who allegedly led authorities on a high speed chase through two counties has been charged with sixteen counts of Criminal Endangerment by Glacier County prosecutors. According to court records, Jack Alexander Saxten IV was driving in the Browning area on Wednesday. Investigators say that Saxten got out of his truck, carrying a shotgun, and approached a man’s vehicle. Saxten allegedly told that man he was going to “change the world today,” and he should let someone know.  Saxten then allegedly drove away.

Authorities later tried to stop Saxten’s vehicle, and an alleged high-speed pursuit kicked in. The speeds reportedly hit more than 100 miles per hour, and the pursuit stretched into the West Glacier area of Flathead County. Flathead County deputies deployed a spike strip, and Saxten was apprehended.

Glacier County authorities say they recovered three rifles from Saxten’s pickup truck, and observed a shotgun in the truck’s cab after the incident.

The agencies that assisted in the apprehension of Saxten include Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services, the Montana Highway Patrol, the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office and the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office.
