Returning veterans offered job training
A three-day training session for combat veterans recently returned to Montana begins Friday in Billings.
Major Tim Crow with the Montana National Guard says 50 soldiers are expected to attend. The Veterans Opportunity to Work program is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor and is focused on veterans who have trouble finding employment after returning home.
It will include soldiers of the 484th Military Police Company out of Malta and the 260th Engineer Company out of Miles City.
Instructors will help soldiers build resumes, train them with interviewing skills and help soldiers translate skills they learned in the military into civilian life.
