BILLINGS, Mont. -

The Rocky Mountain College board of trustees has chosen a new president.

Robert Wilmouth was chosen after a national search. He is a Billings physician who was an adjunct professor in Rocky's physician assistant program for 15 years before being named its director and associate professor in 2008. Wilmouth was named Rocky's interim president in January after former president Michael Mace announced his retirement.

Board chairman Carl Hansen said Friday that Wilmouth will do great things for Rocky. His goals include raising money for a new science building to replace one that is small and out-of-date.

Wilmouth says he plans to keep the school's enrollment at the current 900 to 1,000 students and doesn't plan to add any new academic programs.
