BUTTE, Mont. -

Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell tells NBC Montana that a bloody shower curtain found at the landfill in Butte is not connected to the missing Anaconda woman Tammy Salle.

Investigators with Anaconda and Butte Silver Bow have been sifting through trash at the landfill hoping to turn up any new clues in Salle’s disappearance.

Salle went missing just before Christmas and her boyfriend turned up dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound about a week later.

The shower curtain discovered with blood on it was sent to the state crime lab for testing.

According to Chief Barkell the blood wasn’t Tammy Salle’s; results proved the blood to be that of an animal’s of some kind.
