Search teams find missing Snow Bowl skier

This was taken a few weeks ago up at Snowbowl. Seeing the ice crystals through the sun made the run live up to it's name - Paradise!

Search and rescue teams report they have safely located a missing skier who was lost overnight near Snowbowl.  21-year-old Kalispell native and current Missoula resident Stephan Quade was found about 10:48 a.m. Monday.

Rescuers tried to land a chopper on a ridge but found the snow pack unstable.  We are told Quade was in a basin off of the Paradise Run at Snowbowl and the area was too steep for snowmobilers to come to his rescue.

A chopper dropped off survival supplies to Quade at 11:03 a.m. and the ski patrol geared up to ski down to him so they could snowshoe him back up the half-mile hill of deep powder.
