Senate begins confirmation of Bullock appointees
The Montana Senate has begun confirming Gov. Steve Bullock's cabinet appointments.
The Senate on Wednesday confirmed Pam Bucy as head of the state Department of Labor and Industry and Meg O'Leary to the Department of Commerce.
Bucy was the chief legal counsel for the Labor Department who lost to Republican Tim Fox last November in the race to succeed Bullock as attorney general.
O'Leary was Big Sky Resort's marketing director before Bullock chose her to lead the commerce department.
The Senate on Tuesday also confirmed Pat Smith of Arlee and Jennifer Anders of Clancy to the Northwest Power Planning Conservation Council.
The chamber still must take action more than two dozen other nominees Bullock has named to his cabinet or to boards, commissions and judgeships.
