Folks with the Bozeman Sculpture Park, right next to the public library, say they were shocked to find someone damaged three sculptures.
They say they discovered the vandalism on Sunday and called police to file a report.
Two out of three of the sculptures damaged are new this year and artists from across the state contributed to the park. They say they were surprised to hear something like this would happen in Bozeman.
Folks with the not-for-profit group estimate vandals did around $8,000 worth of damage, making the crimes a felony.
They say they are determined to find out who is responsible. That it's not just about the individual artists' work or even the entire sculpture park.
"This is really about community art here in Bozeman and we're hoping that the community will come together in support and help us bring those to justice that committed these crimes," says Sculpture Park President Joseph Keith.
The sign providing self-guided tour information was also stolen.
Folks with the sculpture park say it's still unclear whether the acts were random or targeted.
They're offering a reward to any information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information about the vandalism, you can email the Bozeman Sculpture Park.
