Volunteers brave the cold for warming center
Volunteers in Bozeman are braving the cold to ensure other folks can stay warm.
They posted up near businesses and on street corners to ask for donations for the Human Resource Development Council's new warming center facility.
The new spot at Griffin and Industrial is much larger and will offer more secure areas for women and families to sleep.
We spoke to one volunteer who says she's helping out because she has a heart for those less fortunate than.
"It's really cold and miserable out here but those people deal with this every single day, all day, so I just wanted to do my part to help them have, at least, a warm place to sleep during winter," says volunteer Glenda Howze.
Folks with the HRDC say they're also looking to find another use for part of the space to help offset costs.
