Winter road conditions keep Flathead responders busy
Snow-covered roads in the Flathead have been keeping responders busy. The Montana Highway Patrol has responded to more than 25 crashes in Flathead County since Friday Morning.
That means tow truck drivers have had a lot of work to do. NBC Montana spoke with a driver at Ohs’ Towing up in the Flathead. He told NBC Montana work has been steady, and he offered up some of his own safe driving tips.
“If you can obviously afford studded snow tires, that’s the way to go, but if nothing else, have good safe all-season tires and know that your tires are in good shape,” said Tow Operator Dirk Meyer. “That’s 90 percent of safe winter driving…just have good tires and give yourself a little extra time."
