Woman pleads no contest to hiding runaway teen
A 37-year-old Billings woman charged with hiding a runaway teen for several weeks last fall has reached a plea agreement that leaves her facing up to eight years in prison.
Nicole Lynn Hutchinson pleaded no contest Friday to felony custodial interference for hiding the 13-year-old boy. She also pleaded guilty to tampering and obstruction. Sentencing is set for June 4.
Prosecutors said Hutchinson hid the boy at her house between Oct. 17 and Nov. 8, even telling the boy's parents several times that their son was not there.
The boy told investigators he spent all but one night at Hutchinson's house after he ran away. He said Hutchinson supplied him with marijuana and alcohol. A drug distribution charge is to be dismissed upon sentencing.
