BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Bozeman Police arrested one person on the scene after a meth lab explosion Tuesday evening, but he has not been charged. 26-year-old Devon Arnaud was arrested, but is being held for violating terms of probation.

Court documents filed Wednesday say Arnaud confessed to using illegal drugs, specifically methamphetamine. Documents that detail the alleged probation violation indicate he is being investigated for operating a secret meth lab. However police have not yet said how Arnaud is connected to the motel explosion that happened Tuesday evening.

NBC Montana looked through Arnaud's criminal history that dates back to 2007. In 2009 he plead guilty to two counts of sexual intercourse without consent. For that, Arnaud was sentenced to 15 years in Montana State Prison with 10 suspended. Arnaud classified as a tier three sex offender. That is the considered the most serious classification of sex offenders.

Arnaud remains jailed Wednesday on $100,000 bond.
