Beaverhead, Butte Silver Bow and Powell counties send out final election results

BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Election results are in for counties across southwest Montana- including Beaverhead, Butte Silver Bow and Powell counties.

In Beaverhead County, Michael Klakken will take the seat for the next Mayor of Dillon, with 617 votes. He ran against current mayor Martin Malesich, who got 503 votes.

William Shafer ran uncontested for Dillon Ward III Councilperson, and will take the position.

Though no official candidates ran for Wards I, II and IV- voters wrote in candidates. Richard Auchter will be Councilperson for Ward I, Lynn Westad for Ward II and Nils Troedsson for Ward IV.

The Dillon City Judge race was uncontested, and John Gutcheck will take the seat.

In the town of Lima, David Olsen ran uncontested for Mayor, and David Brown and John Stosich ran uncontested for the two spots on Town Council.

In Butte Silver Bow County, mayor and several Alderman seats were open. John Ries ran uncontested and got the votes for Mayor, and Chris Campbell ran uncontested for Ward #3 Alderman.

The seats for Alderman Ward #1 and #2 were completely open with no candidates, but there were several different write in candidates.

In the end, Annette Bolton took the most votes for Ward #1 and Loggins for Ward #2.

In Powell County, Zane Cozby took the spot for Deer Lodge Mayor with 764 votes, over incumbent Mary Ann Fraley (175 votes) and Allen Walters (83 votes).

Voters also chose Alderman in Wards I, II, III and IV.

In Ward I, Robert Stone got 120 votes to beat out Mary Hathaway (69 votes). 118 votes went to Brian Bender in Ward II, just two votes above Robert Kersch (116).

Terry Jennings will be the new Alderman in Ward III, with 201 votes against Caleb Avent Burton (86). And in Ward IV, Kurt Sager won with 120 votes. John Skibsrud (80 votes) and Kyler Noel (50 votes) also ran for that seat.
