Folks in southwest Montana braved the cool weather and rain to support a group aimed towards encouraging positive activities and leadership for Belgrade youth.
The Belgrade Youth Forum held its summer fundraiser to collect money for a skate park they want to build in Lewis and Clark Park.
Teens we talked to say the skate park will keep Belgrade kids busy and give them a place to skate without going to Bozeman.
Plus, they say it will help keep kids active and healthy.
"To me, it'd be nice because I live in Belgrade. It's really close. It's just right down the street and I'd just love to have some new features to skate," says skateboarder Michael Erhart.
They've been trying to come up with $200,000 for the skate park for over a year now and have raised $10,000 so far.
